Rosie is here! Francie and I became parents last thursday at 10:55 PM. Mom and baby are doing great. Rosie is very healthy and very peaceful as long as she isn’t hungry. She lets mom get lots of sleep between feedings. I’m sure I’ll write more about her later but for now– pictures!
I’d like to apologize to oil lobbyists for Joe Barton‘s inept defense of their industry.
Found some humorous critiques of couch-cushion forts. That’s forts, not farts. The latter makes building the former far less fun. Unfortunately for Rosie our furniture doesn’t have many detatchable cushions. She’ll have to be more creative.
Never thought of twitter as being very useful, but with funny dads and bp imposters have me reconsidering my position. Though you have to be quite the character (or know one) to bring the funny in 140 characters or less. (The previous sentence meets the length requirement, at least!)
As I mentioned earlier, we finished painting our house this weekend thanks to lots of help from family. Again, thanks to everyone for the help! It was greatly appreciated and it was nice to visit as well.
I took some pictures last night of the result. It feels like a brand new house! ^_^

Surgery’s over and I’m awake and feeling fine! Thanks for all the support!
