First Allen decides he has to help his friend Patrick move this weekend and can’t stay for the LAN party. Now it’s Jeremy’s turn to be a dufus again. I knew I should have called him at work someday last week and had him ask for tomorrow and Saturday off. I’m pretty sure I mentioned it last Tuesday when we got together, but that’s not enough I guess.
It’s not totally their fault, though. I just have bad luck when it comes to planning stuff like this. I think it’s because people secretly hate me and hang out with me only when it’s convenient (i.e. someone else ditched them). Time to treat my self pity with either food or video games. Maybe even boost my self esteem with some ass whomping in said games.
I’m heading to bed early tonight…can’t show up to work at 9 like I did the past two days. I gotta be there at 8 like I’ve been trying to do all summer. I also think getting a decent amount of sleep will help me keep from doing the head bob thing like I was doing today.
Mowing the lawn tonight with our new lawnmower was easier than it was using the weedwhacker two weeks ago when I last trimmed our lawn. It wasn’t a whole lot easier though. For one thing, it’s a pain anytime the grass is so tall it bogs down your mower. (Damn all this rain. >_<) It’s even more of a pain when your mower’s handle is only attached to one side and you fear ripping it off if you aren’t really gentle. (Definitely gotta have that welded.) Having a mower that rides very low on a bumpy lawn isn’t much help either. All in all, it’s still worth the price (free) and the motor seems to be in pretty good shape for being ancient and out of use for so long. Well, time for bed.
Still spending most of my time rebuilding my PC. I’m really pushing myself hard at it, too. I went to the gym for an hour last night, got back from that at 8:30. Started supper right away (mmm…french bread pizzas) and while it was baking I made nacho dip for Friday’s LAN party–Oh yeah, I meant to make a post about that. I’m having a LAN party this Fri-Sat., starting at 6PM Friday until whenever Saturday morning. That’s all that I wanted to say. I finish eating and cleaning dishes at about 10. Perfect time to start my “small project.” /sarcasm Long story short, I worked on it for 4 hours and went to bed nowhere near finished.
Tonight was spent mostly fixing the stuff I broke trying to make things work with my G partition having been changed to E. Today I did the smart thing and changed the letter back to G and fixed my stupid mistakes. I also got it in my head somehow that I’m going to get this Guide plus program working for my TV card. I couldn’t get it to work right afterI messed it up the first week I had it, and I think it’s going to be wasted time yet again. :\
Brandon’s gave me another panic attack (I’m half afraid he’s gonna tell me he’s bailing on me or gonna kill me half the time I talk with him.) the other day when he told me his friend that was going to move in this fall was looking into being a volunteer fire fighter somewhere around here (can’t remember where, but not in Fairborn) and therefore couldn’t live here. (I know, you’re just the messenger this time, BH. You’re still alright. ^_^) Anyway, today I got the confirmation that his friend was definitely doing that. *Sigh* I’m fed up with wishy-washy people backing out of living here. I thought I was done with that crap last year. Ugh.
Well, it’s time to go to bed with socks on. No stupid rhymes, please. I know you’re thinking in your head. Stop it. Serously. Can I continue now, please? Ok, the reason for the socks is protection. I’ve got some itchy bite marks on my feet. Quite a few of them…really itchy ones…and there’s mild swelling. I’m fairly sure they’re from bugs. I suppose they could be from some kind of weird, tiny vampire creatures that sneak into my room at night. I would think my feet would taste and smell pretty bad though. Maybe I’ll step on some garlic tomorrow just in case… On a more practical note however, I’ll probably try to wash all my sheets sometime this week. If that doesn’t work, I may have to burn them and my mattress. If the washing doesn’t work, that is. Not the garlic thing.
I seem to have left a few streaks. All I’ll say right now is that having the partition with Apache and moveable type on it change letters (from G to E) can really mess things up. I also hope I remember that I have to install drivers for my sound/usb to work should I ever have to do this again. Anyway, the site’s back up and running now…I think. Setting everything else back the way I like it can wait a bit.
Well, I’m attempting to format my C partition tonight and reinstall windows. If you’re reading this, it means I’ve been able to get my site up and running again. Otherwise, my comp’s still messed up. >_< Which kinda makes this post pointless…yeah.

W00t! We finally got our new long snapper signed! Even though getting draftees signed is taking a bit longer, I think these longer contracts are worth it.
I did nothing today and loved every minute of it. *sigh*
