As most people reading this are already aware, I have been offered a full-time job at BATC!! I didn’t post about it on Monday when I accepted the offer because there aren’t any wireless signals that reach all the way up to cloud 9. Seventh heaven, where I’m at right now, has a phat OC12 pipe connection.
As I’ve told everyone already, I wasn’t worried about getting a job. I was only anxious to have one lined up since I was the only tech aide who was graduating in June without a full-time position waiting for me. (Having my lack of a job brought up at tech aide meetings didn’t help either, although I appreciate the good intentions behind that.
) I feel more relaxed now, and I’m looking forward to working for AMSG.
Okay, I promised pictures and I will now deliver them via clickable link action! Be warned, however, they are a bit large. (800k)
Larry, Curly, and Moe… er, I mean, Mitch, Mike, and Jim
yeah, lots of plaques and stuff. It doesn’t make you better than me!!
this is just a practice picture, but I kept it b/c I caught someone else’s flash. I’m easily amused.
177 18 year olds with pulses, a.k.a. graduating class of 2004 j/k, they’re a great group of kids.
that blur in the middle is Jim getting his diploma. I really need more practice with the zoom feature of my camera.
Again, my apologies. I have no idea why my camera hates me. Anyway, my brother is one of 70 seniors in the OGHS choir this year. That’s almost the same size as our entire choir my senior year.
two folks looking forward to paying tuition bills My outdoor pictures seem to be much better. hmm. :/
older=shorter?
That’s all I got from the festivities. I’m not a good photographer… I’m lucky if i can get a picture that’s in focus let alone capturing something worth remembering. Sorry to end on a down note, but my next post might be a little more uplifting.
Internet is off at our house because of the pending move. I don’t want to pay for a whole extra month when I’ll only use one week, and it’s better if I have one less thing to distract me from cleaning and packing. I’ll try and post some pictures from Jim’s graduation during class, but posts will otherwise be scarce for the next couple weeks.
Jim’s graduation party is tonight, and I get to be bartender! W00t!
Overcast is usually okay with me, but, as I’ve mentioned before, after it rains for awhile the basement gets damp and musty and just plain icky in general.

So according to the weather channel, my last two weeks of living in the basement are going to suck.
Got this link via an AIM buddy. Here are some of my favorites for the lazy people.
Signs You’re Suffering From End-of-the-year Burnout:
- You’re so tired, that you now answer the phone, “Hell” instead of Hello.
- When your parents inquire about your grades, you sing the Cookie Monster song: “C is for cookie, that’s good enough for me…”
- You think about how relaxing it would be if you were in jail right now!
- Your favorite phrase is “I don’t give a s@#$.”
- You have spent more time figuring out that you only need a 54% on the final to pass than the time you have actually spent studying.
- When your study schedule is based on the rationale that you “might” actually die before the test!
- Mom calls to ask how you’ve been, and you immediately scream, “Get off my back, bitch!”
- You wake up to discover your bed is on fire, but go back to sleep because you just don’t care
This hot weather combined with a shitty schedule on Tuesdays/Thursdays has me changing in and out of shorts. And hiking around campus in work clothes just isn’t happening in this weather. I have to go to work for at least an hour each day to keep in touch and keep abreast of job opportunities, otherwise I would just go on MWF. Then there’s the late afternoon storms caused by all this heat.
Yeah, I’m whining. But this weather sucks.
