I hope you can see this Boston, because I’m laughing as hard as I can
So there’s been a big uproar in Boston the past couple days because of a Lite-Brite ad-campaign for Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Someone mistook them for bombs somehow after they had been up for several weeks, causing the city to basically be shut down while the bomb squad removed and “detonated” the devices. This is especially ridiculous as these LED ads were put in quite a few other cities (New York, Philadelphia, Seattle, etc) without any problem. Here is a nice summary of the whole situation.
That’s not the best part though. In what appears to be an effort to save face, the two guys who put these things up were arrested on various charges, including planting “hoax devices”. That led to this hilarious press conference where the duo treated this situation as the farce that it is.
I also enjoy hearing serious mainstream media talking about Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Probably makes no sense to them whatsoever. The blurring of the 8-bit (is it even 8-bit level of graphics?) bird is also hilarious. ^_^
