no more books! No more teachers’ dirty looks!! Yes, the quarter is over and I have nothing to do. It’s a really good feeling. No work this week and lots of play, maybe some xmas shopping. Next tuesday will suck with all three of my harder finals on the same day, spaced out from 1 till 10. No, I don’t think having them spaced out is a good thing. I want them done. That said, my cake 255 final is at 10AM on friday. You know how I feel about mornings and classes on friday. Well, I best be packin’. It’s a long weekend at home so I better get my shit together.

Okay, Krista’s flying off again. For her third trip in the past month, she’s visiting a high school friend who’s studying in Chile. That’s right, Chile. In her defense, she’s been planning this for a long time, but at the same time… CHILE? WTF?! Am I weird in picking friends that live within 200 miles, let alone the same hemisphere? *Sigh* When I think about it logically, I realize it really shouldn’t bother me. I wouldn’t see her until next Friday at the earliest whether she’s 100 miles away or halfway across the world. And yet it still upsets me… I have issues, I know. It’s been bothering me since we hugged goodbye when I helped her finish her 255 project today.

You already know what made the other two days great, and here’s the rest of the story. Today capped one of the best weekends I’ve had in awhile. After ironically praying at church for New Orleans to lose today, I came home to find out that CBS had the Cinncitucky/Pukesburgh game. So when Roger called to see if I wanted to go to Hooters with him and some friends, I was like, “Hell yeah!! I want to watch the game!” Didn’t get to watch the whole game, but I saw a good hour of it and heard the rest on the radio. And a good game it was to watch, too. Dennis and William made that offense work today! I could go on and on, and I will later, but I’ll leave it at that right now. Came home after that, relaxed my legs after sitting on a stool too long, took a short nap even. I caught the Simpsons, then went and saw Bond. Stunts, explosions, escapes, and babes, oh my! You know, prototypical Bond movie, possibly the best one yet. Ok, now on to my gameballs and goats.
Gameballs
So many awesome plays, so few gameballs…
1. Northcutt made some awesome plays today, most notably his TD draw play. Props to those who made big blocks for him, too.
2. Green gets a gameball for his first official 100 yard game. Way to go!!
3. Henry made a key interception today, can’t forget him. I’d like to see this trend continue and rack up the picks like last year.
Goats
1. Bungals get a goat for not hanging on to beat the Squeelers. We could have had first place!
2. Couch shares a goat with the refs bad leverage call on that FG. Neither deserves a full goat because Couch threw picks but he also threw to Northcutt which makes me happy, and taking 3 points off the board turned out to be ok.
3. No other goats today. There were mistakes, but I can’t remember them too well because everyone attoned for them with the awesome win today.
Keep your cat off your stuff with febreeze…ahh febreeze. is there anything it can’t do?

As I already mentioned, I made 255 my bitch today, but oddly enough the productivity continued through the day until I just didn’t have anything left to do. I came home, put in a second load of laundry, watched the Buckeyes win, and put my second load in the dryer before heading back to Russ to finish our 460 project/homework. Got those done in three hours, ate supper, and enjoyed some well earned “prime time,” as I like to call it.

I spent ninety minutes, tops, on this program. It was that simple. Material from class is very important my ass. Pfft, I don’t need no stinking lecture! In any case, it’s done and I don’t know what I’ll do with all this free time I got. I was hoping to save metroid for when I go home. It’s nice to have this luxury for once.

I plan on getting my 255 prog done tomorrow morning, so it’s off to bed early tonight. Before midnight, even!! It’s scary, I know. I rented Tetris Worlds earlier this week, before Prime, but it got lost and forgotten with all the blasting and item collecting. I remembered I still had it today after work and that it’s due back tomorrow night so I popped it in quick, and it was a good hour before I put down the controller. I had a good twenty minute game even! If you like your puzzle games, you’ll love this collection of 6, count ‘em 6, mouthwatering flavors of tetris. You’ve got original, square, cascade, etc. There were some I read the descriptions for and I was like, huh? If you’re thinking to yourself, “Tetris? I got that on my old calculator! What’s the point of a console version?” you couldn’t be more in the dark. This game has every single combination of fun possible with tetrimoes. (Tetrimoes are those shapes falling down the screen. You learn something new every day!)

I put the finishing touches on my 405 “project” today. It’s not as much of a project as it is a big homework assignment. There’s no continuity to it. It’s like, here do these queries, then some more that are completely different. Now, switching topics completely, draw this diagram according to these requirements, etc. Alright, now write a paper to grade these on. The paper part is the weirdest. I don’t think anyone has anything that could be called a paper. In any case, it’s done. Now all I have left is part C of the other pseudo project I have that’s also due tuesday for 255, and the group project wannabe that’s for 460 (also due on tuesday). If it sounds like a lot of work, it’s really not. A few lines of code, some debugging, and that’s it. Just to be on the safe side, though, I’m staying here for the weekend so they get done and wednesdayish I’m going home for an extended weekend with my girl Samus.
