Yeah, that archives list was getting ass long, so I changed it to a monthly archive. It didn’t change the list, though. I’m not sure what I need to do to make it work right. Also, seeing as I recently finished going through 2 years of this comic, I thought I’d add it to my list of favorites. What? Did you think I’d make any substantial changes? You obviously haven’t been reading my posts lately, or you’d know that requires time I don’t have.

Reading about all the cool shit I’ll never have time to play (see the post below) makes me kinda depressed. Those bastards get to basically play games for a lliving, something I thought I’d be doing by now. I was kinda doing that when I didn’t work while going to school, if you think about it, except I wasn’t getting paid. Playing games was my part-time job and I took it seriously. Now my job at Ball is my part time job. This sucks. I can afford more games, and I can even play PC games now, but I don’t have the time. To borrow a phrase from my friend Toni, humph.

Yeah, so i really would like to go home this weekend, but It ain’t happenin’. I got P3 due monday with P4 right on its heels. I got lab 4 in 320 due around the same time as P4, and to top it all off I have a 10 page paper, which I haven’t even started researching in earnest and is due in three weeks along with our take home final (3 page paper). True, I have time to write the paper, but I have to give a presentation Thursday on my subject. I’m tempted to come home Sunday and celebrate Dad’s b-day, but maybe we can do that next weekend? I’m rambling now and I can’t type good, so good night…

That’s what we learned in 433 today. It’s a really, really oversimplified explaination of our lecture on how trying to maximize CPU utilization can cause a computer to hang, but it’s true. And more importantly, it’s humorous because our professor for assembly likes to use the word “clobber” when talking about values in registers. Alright, thats too much explaination for something no one will get anyway.

Ahh, randomness… how I missed having you. I just picked up a new Riovolt 150 yesterday for $80 after rebate, and I’m really digging it. It’s got actual randomness, I can shuffle and repeat through the whole cd or just a directory. I can also make my own playlists, which I’ll admit isn’t that useful as most of my playlists on my computer take up a whole cd or more, but it’s still a cool feature. The best thing has to be the huge buffer this thing has. 16 minutes for MP3 files. Let me repeat that… 16 goddamn minutes!! I’m going to thoroughly test this out on my treks across campus and elsewhere. I’ll never take my earphones off again!!

Yeah, I su-diddly-ucked last night. I’d say not playing FPS on a computer before last night didn’t help me much at all. The continuous bawls jokes got pretty horrible, too. I did have a good time though.
