Those ass-clowns at the Parking and Transportation Dept. have sent me a letter telling me I have to pay my fines for the quarter within the next week. WTH? I have less than $100, so I should be able to wait until Spring and use the parking amnesty we get from voting to cancel out at least one ticket. Like I’ve done every other year. Rediculous.

I should have posted about this yesterday, but I was busy catching up from my weekend trip to Cincy. Anyway, Derek and I did the performance revew thing Monday. He basically said that I am t3h win.
UPDATE:
A little more info on my review. Derek prefaced it by explaining that for the first year since he started at Ball, these things may actually translate into pay raises and such. The processing of raises and such starts around this time of the year. Performance reviews in previous years, however, took place at the end of December through mid January, and thus served only as a paper trail for firing people. Perhaps they’ll serve a purpose for those people doing a good job now as well, although it doesn’t bother me either way. My cynical nature tells me that these things are worthless to begin with and that eases any paranoia I have about them.
One of the biggest things that Derek said he noticed about me was that I worked well with minimal supervision necessary. I didn’t get flummoxed by problems that others my age would see as “a brick wall.” Quite the ego booster, eh? ^_^ He heard the same from other people I had worked with/for. Thinking back to a year ago, however, I suppose I’m better at that than I thought. Looking back, the Contracts Tool was a very daunting task when I first started on it, and I haven’t given myself enough credit for tackling that like I did.

I’m not sure what bug crawled up my butt and put me in poor spirits for most of the weekend, but it did its job well. I didn’t have nearly as much fun as I could/should have had. I guess my problem was I had built up the weekend so much in my mind, and not much worked out the way I hoped it would. For the past month I had envisioned so many things I wanted to share with my family while they were down here. Then it ended up just being Mom and Dad, and they got here after dark Friday night, much later than we had talked about originally (although those plans had been changed for 2 weeks at that point), and we had to head to Cincy soon afterwards.
It’s all good, though. I’ll just take out all my angst on Jim in Double Dash battle mode.
It was a beautiful wedding, and Amy’s state of bliss really showed. It was her day, and I am truly happy for her. ^_^

I’m in Covington for my cousin’s wedding today, and I gots t3h interweb here at the hotel. It sure beats what they’ve got on crappy Direct TV. Until THE game starts, that is.

The last final’s over and done with. Nothing left to do but restrain myself from going over to the people at ROX and cracking some skulls. They are either extremely slow or understaffed because I doubt that any of my grades will be posted before December. >_<

Played my newly acquired Double Dash tonight, and I’ve come the following conclusions:
1. my kart skillz have faded a bit, and they’ve upped the difficulty a bit since the last edition.

2. they’ve gimped yoshi, making him a middleweight with less acceleration.

3. toad’s gone, replaced by sucky baby characters (why, oh why did they need a baby luigi??) and a red paratroopa (the green one wasn’t enough??). Seriously, why the toad embargo since mario tennis?

4. I need someone to beat up on in battle mode…single player just doesn’t cut it for me with karts
