‘Twas a good LAN party this weekend. There was this one time, I threw a grenade in the house. And boom! I killed a bunch of diry Germans. And there was this other time I ran in with a satchel charge…
wait, these descriptions are meaningless in text. Yeah. Even telling someone else about it in person doesn’t really do it justice. Hmm… what to do.
Oh, I know! Screenshots! I’m too lazy to create a decent image gallery so you’ll just have to browse through the index of pictures there. I can give you links to some of the highlights however. ^_^
Just had an interesting IM conversation. I’m going to use Tone’s tactic of telling the other person to just lose already in future debates.
Tone: Lude says no Arbies
John: it’s featured in the 2003 Christmas Vacation Documentary though!
John: we could meet celebrities!
Tone: Arby’s is reflected in a bad way in the documentary
John: very well, that was before they accepted credit cards however. they’ve cleaned up their act
Tone: just lose the argument
John: you make a good point
John: you are a master debater
John: shit, did I just win while trying to give you the victory?
John: I’m sorry.
Actually, Tone sorta won because we didn’t eat at arby’s, but I thought my zing was kinda funny. :/
Three letters is the difference between c and cols, and it’s also the difference between a broke ass plugin and one with useful results.
This reminder of John’s stupidity is brought to you by the letters f and u.
Theme switcher installed. Huh, that wasn’t too hard. Now to make some css magic and do my other themes I wanted.
I upgraded wordpress today. Someone get me a cookie. I mean, it wasn’t easy work and on my day off no less! I had to delete files, upload more files, and even edit still more files!
Anyway, things seem to be working but I need to take advantage of all these new features at my disposal. I’m thinking theme switching, actually finishing my other themes, lock down comments (although it’s a lot better at blocking spam by default now) and add separate pages. I’ll get to it all eventually.
I’m sitting here watching Jim, Tone, and Luda play Monkey Target right now. Why am I not playing? Sadly, I’ve lost the desire to play their version of monkey target. Trying to knock people off, attempting midair collisions, these things didn’t excite me much to begin with and have lost any sort of amusement. We need some variety in our game night and fast.
We finally got the Ball Logo put on our building today. So that’s kinda cool for several reasons.
- The building doesn’t look quite as plain anymore. It stands out somewhat and has more of an identity.
- I should have an easier time explaining to people where I work. Before it was always “across the street from Wright State, next to Wright-Patt Credit Union…” Now I can just say the building with the Ball logo on it. Well, in a couple months maybe.
- We ownz0r this building! ^__^
