You know that commercial for the psp with squirrels saying “I’d hit that!”? I’d like to hit the people who made that. with a sledgehammer. Video game advertising is really annoying me lately. Kinda rough since I’m someone who likes video games. The xbox commercial with the mother talking about them spoiling their supper is just as bad with the freaky mother laugh. Worse actually because I can at least see how the psp promos could be funny. I’m trying to think of one for Nintendo because I’m sure there have been stinkers they’ve done but I can’t think of any right now. The “who are you” and “touching is good” campaigns are the recent ones I can think of and I didn’t pay much attention to them. Anyone else got some annoying video game ads they unfortunately remember?

A panel on darknets (private subnetworks hidden from the rest of the internet) got detrailed once a MPAA representative identified herself and became the target of every geek in the room. Her favorite response seemed to be that people who bought dvds entered into contracts. Ha! What contract? I bought a stinkin’ movie!! No reasonable person is going to swallow this contract bullshit.
