Worse than useless
When I wrote the tagline in my last post it got me thinking. Has the Homeland Security Advisory System ever been useful for anything besides a punchline? It’s never been below elevated in its six years of existence. It’s remained at cowardly yellow or above all this time. It’s been raised to high nearly a dozen times, but despite the supposedly great risk, nothing has happened. Surely you’d think something would come about when it was raised to severe. Nope, it was just chicken little squawking a little louder. Can we please get rid of the DHS and return to living our lives normally? It’s been 7 years, I think we can stop cowering in fear now.
